We highly recommend ATK K9 if you're thinking of boarding and / or training your pup! We signed our dog Finley (who we adopted from AAC and was a quarantine pup with a lot of social anxiety and a few bad habits) for their 3 week board and train and we are very happy with the results. They not only set a solid foundation for Finley to continue to learn and grow but they showed us ways to continue with his training and that has been incredibly helpful in our journey!

Owning a dog is a huge responsibility and a significant financial investment. This is the third dog (new family member) that this family has taken to ATX K9. A well trained and social dog is the key to having a happy pet for years. ATX K9 takes their role in training very seriously. They are the best in what they do and it shows in the finished product. Their heart is in it and I highly recommend them.

Our sheepadoodle puppy Opal spent 2 weeks at ATX K9 and came back a while different pup (in the best way)! She retained all of the training she was taught around leash walking, energy management, and then some! Plus we got frequent photo and video updates while we were away on our honeymoon. Highly recommend ATX K9 to folks looking for a warm, friendly, and effective board and train program!

We took Lily, our French Bulldog, to ATX K9 for three weeks and had AMAZING results!!! She knows all of her commands and is absolutely wonderful. My Partner and I were also trained by ATX K9 when we picked up Lily. They did a great job explaining what to do and they even continued to text back and forth when I have questions. She still has her personality and if you have a Frenchie you know how stubborn they can get. She is head strong but now she knows commands and will react. Now, we are still within our first week with her back and I can tell it will take a continued effort on my part. Here's the great news, she can come to work with me and hang out without being spastic. It's money well spent and now the next 10+ years will be much easier. 🙂

We took our 8 month old puppy to ATX K9 and we are so pleased with the results! We decided on the 4 week board and train program and our puppy came back a whole new dog - in a good way! He had no manners when we first adopted him and had a problem with nipping at our hands and feet when playing. He is now more calm, especially when walking on a leash, and understands how to play appropriately. I would definitely recommend ATX K9, Steven and his team were so friendly and helpful to us throughout the whole process! Thank you ATX K9!

My husky/collie mix puppy Daphne did a 2wk board and train with ATX K9 in November. She went from a wild thing that didn’t listen and couldn’t walk on a leash. It was stressful for me and stressful for her. We weren’t bonding strongly. Snuggles and hugs lasted seconds at most. After her two weeks, she was soooo much better. We did our homework and training after. After some regression because I slacked off due to a back injury, we had our follow up session at a park just the other week. There were so many breakthroughs in that meeting. Our walks are now perfect. No pulling and she checks in with me. She’s meeting other dogs politely. I can call Daphne from the other side of the dog park and she actually comes to me! The stubborn husky side will still be an occasional thing, I’m sure, but being able to get Daphne’s attention and communicate with her has changed our relationship. We’re finally bonding in a meaningful way and she’s becoming a more loving pup.

I cannot say enough good things about ATX K9! We loved working Stephen and the team, every step of the way. He is kind, intelligent, professional and warm...and a truly effective dog trainer. All dogs are trained right next to Stephen's home in beautiful Elgin, and it almost feels as though you are dropping off your dog to not just to be well trained, but also to make friends with a wonderful family. All employees are very professional, and you can tell everyone that works with Stephen at ATX K9 has integrity. We have seen so much improvement in our dog Layla, and we plan to board with ATX K9 whenever we are out of town to help her keep up all the good work. 🙂 It's worth mentioning that Layla is a very willful, excitable dog who was not receptive to a previous training, so it has been a huge relief for us all to find someone that connects with her and has seen her through to making lasting changes.

You. Guys. Our experience with ATX K9 was literally life changing. We rescued a little guy named Flounder, he’s just a little over a year old and was found in horrible condition (thank you Sky Sanctuary). He suffered severe neglect, so he would lose his MARBLES when anyone unfamiliar came around. Of course as you can imagine, this behavior was exhausting and so frustrating for both us and Flounder. He also didn't listen whatsoever, so we obviously had to find help because I started losing my marbles too haha. I researched 5 spots in and around Austin, TX and no other business was as responsive or professional. The owners Steven and Ashley are SO friendly which made us feel more comfortable sending Flounder there. We did board & train and I’d recommend a minimum of 3 weeks if you have a stubborn breed or chihuahua mix like us. 😅 Flash forward to now. We got him back yesterday after an awesome hour lesson with Daniel, who was the first person he clung to. Then Ashley and Steven came in and I got to see how much Flounder loved both of them, which was priceless. It turns out he often got invited into their home to “place” as they ate dinner, which makes me so happy. I also want to say how gentle Daniel was with Flounder, his voice was so soft and flounder was so responsive. I was AMAZED haha! You could tell they truly bonded. Now today (1 day later) we are back at the house and I’m literally in awe. Not that he’s perfect or listens 100% of the time or anything though, it’s still work for all of us but the GOOD and rewarding kind! We learned his commands and we are doing tons of practicing. Keep in mind, It’s always gonna take energy and effort. Also don’t forget how important YOUR training is! If you don’t stay consistent and structured, your results won’t be great so I’m making sure to stay on top of it! But all in all, ATX K9 is amazing and efficient. Not to brag, but Flounder is currently snoozing in “place” as I write this. Thank you ATX K9!!!
